I Have Pain ....

.... and it is right here (there).

Or, there (here).

Whatever view works to describe it - I hate it.

Started a few days ago. Tried running on it yesterday - stopped after 1.5 miles and walked back.

Last night another attempt. Finished my 5K run, yet after mile 2 it was a real PITA. Literally.

This is new to me. Lots of pain here and there. Yet, just not there (here). I will rest it today. Try it again tomorrow. Meantime I will be using rollers and tennis balls to massage it out.

Life?

Going good. Except I will be missing my wife for a few days. Just me alone with the kiddo's. When she gets back from a Conference in Texas though, she might find a new member of the family in the house.

More Husky love. We decided one was not enough, and our current one needs a companion. The one pictured is an online stolen one. Our new one will look similar in color and markings, but only 6 months old with one blue eye. I will let you know what it's like running with two Huskies. It could very well be a whole new PITA. Yet, fun one.

Cheers!

Thanks for the nice thoughts! When I had a PITA the tennis balls worked miracles.

Ditto on the tennis ball slomo - the foam roller cannot get "close enough", but the tennis ball can. If you are feeling saucy, use a golf ball but make sure the volume is loud on the TV so the kids don't hear you cry :) Heal well!

Hope you heal up quickly!

Two husky pups...bc life isn't crazy enough. :) I'm sure #1 will enjoy the company, though.

I had the same PIA. And ignored it. Until I ruptured the hamstring at the insertion point. Myofascial release worked wonders.
Congrats on the new addition!

I have that same pain--I just spent several quality minutes on the floor with the tennis ball. Not fun. Feel better, and I hope the beautiful dog works out.

Google piriformis muscle or piriformis syndrome. I had this problem in 2010 -- terribly painful. And then it started affecting the sciatic nerve which threw me to the ground in pain. Don't mean to scare you, but it can get terrible. The tennis ball did help. But didn't "cure" it. Nuero-flossing did cured it almost immediately. Another runner sent me a youtube video as a suggestion (search piriformis on youtube too) Definitely read up on this and see if it's your situation. Good luck!!
