An early homage to all things Green and Irish. You know - I am Irish - SO KISS ME!
This Saturday I celebrate early. Two things that say it best to me right now. Soccer (futeball) and running a St. Patty's Day Half Marathon.
Yippee skippee! Late afternoon game to coach. Plus, I should get in all my other kiddo's games; and still get to do the 6 Tunnels/Hoover Dam St. Patty's Day Half Marathon. Yeah :) I know? a mouth full for simply saying St. Patty's Day HM. My first HM or race since Carlsbad way back now (it seems) in mid January. The only negative? I know this course way too well. For the most part is on the same course as the 6 Tunnels Turkey Trott and Hoover Dam Half Marathon near Halloween. One or two biggish hills, and some rollers. Downhill to the finish though. It is a trail run of sorts (you can wake up now Happy Trails).
So Cheers to ya ALL! and get out your House of Pain CD's (gotta love an Irish Rap Group!) and ....

I'm bummed to be missing the big St. Louis St. Pat's day race, but it's only 5 miles on a day I need 20 and I have big plans the next day. Oh, well. I try not to let my training interfere with fun races, but looks like it will this time.
Have a blast at your HM! Love the green pics! :)
Have a great weekend of running and soccering!
Good to hear you will be able to squeeze it all in :)
Thanks for asking...
I feel discomfort or twinges going down stairs more than upstairs- but am still babying it a little. Walking about 2 miles with kids (stop and go) was pain free today.
Sounds like a great run. Hope you fit that all in on a fun-packed Saturday!!!
BTW, shirt sleeve weather...we go from that, to down parka, and back in a day out here!!!
Have a great week!
A half over Hoover Dam would be awesome!!! Good luck to you!!
Have fun at your SPDHM...yes, that is a mouthful. Familiar courses can be good but not too sure about those hills, stay strong!
Ha, ha on the HOT DOG on a stick comment. I TOTALLY wanted to work in the booth at the fair when I was little. I LOVED the hats and the employees always looked happy and smiley!! I guess I still wouldn't mind that job...smiles and cheese. My favorites.
