November Is Here

Another month older. However, are we much wiser for it? Right now I am not too happy/wise to find out our family bank or credit union is insolvent. Did not see that happening, or maybe I did, or should've? Yes, federally insured. I guess Monday, I will found out what that means for us? Nice? Nice that I found out last night! Saturday night reading the local paper. Not much I can do on a Saturday, especially Saturday night.

Running. Got in 14.2 miles yesterday. Good run overall. Not fast, and frankly down right slow. Yet, I am still happy with the overall. No beat up feeling. Something my wife noticed - "you ran slightly over a half marathon - and you look like you could run a full!" Your walking "fairly normal, you are not acting like your going to pass out (nice Disney Half reminder, thanks for that one :) ), and you don't look sweaty." Sweat is big concern for my wife - one she hates it (again she is a non runner); and she also thinks I sweat too much. She is probably right on the last one. I am getting old.

Even though my wife did not need to cover patients yesterday AM after all - I am really glad I did not do the Hoover Half. We had too much going on this weekend. Friday, Trunk or Treat Party for our kids at Church. I helped out with things there, and got home fairly late. It was fun time for all the kids. Plus, I would not been able to get to the Expo for late registration and do the Trunk or Treat. So, I picked Church, my own kids and others kids over running. I guess no matter how much, most feel I am addicted to running - I guess not.

Okay, anyone else out there having issues with their blog? I am having issues with the new Goggle format. Curious If I am the only one? Oh, and Meg Runs - your posting on FREE, FREE, FREE SHOES! For some reason I am not able to access it? It shows up as a new posting in my Blogs I Follow. I can go to your Blog, but this most recent posting just says unable to access go to the Blog homepage. I am also having font selection issues, along with spell check (in case you have not noticed).

Halloween. A blast. Kids had a great time. Everyone who stopped by loved the Chili. Thanks!

Cheers!

Hi Meg - No I was not mad at you at all!!!! Sometimes, especially since you cannot see the tongue planted thoroughly in my cheek while typing ( I guess another reason for :) or ;) symbols) it comes across the way it does. I apologize. Ask my wife, I cannot stop talking about the kindgarten teacher in San Diego. You are big in our household Meg!

Shoes, I never got to see the posting. I was not sure what it was regarding. However, if it was some FYI on free shoes I am in. Yet, I'm a shorty as you know. Size 12 too big for me. I am size 9 or 8.5 depending on the make.

Bank - sign of the times, so to speak I guess? Whatever that means with regards to banking? I guess we find out tomorrow. We set up another account ready to transfer funds. Just hope we can access them to transfer? A little scary this can happen without much warning. I guess none of us take anything granted when it comes to financial institution right now. Especially in Vegas.
