Posting to Answer Questions

I have had some emails and questions on previous postings.

First, sorry, I did not clarify this weeks photo behind the Title. It is from a trip back home to Seattle last April with my family. This is the Space Needle and it is my wife showing off her super human strength within the palm of her hand. Trust me, she is even stronger than this pix indicates. Also, one of our boys tried to help with the big push.

No, I do not get any catcalls from women (or men), while I run. I do get the occasional wise ass remark from someone who doesn't appreciate why a runner is doing what they are doing. Although, I have yet, (knock on wood) have had an object thrown at me. I only say this because a friend back in Seattle mentioned recently someone chucked a water balloon filled with pee at him. Yeah - Yuck! But, at least, as he said, it was a soft object.

My Sisters family St. George Marathon results. They did well finished with some nice times. However, one of her sons decided two Marathons and Tri in three weeks was too much, and instead was a finish line cheerleader. My sister, completed her 17th St. George Marathon. She plans on calling it quits when she hits 20. Hopefully, the lottery will let me in next year, and I will run number 18 with her.

Soccer. A few asked how the girls are doing. Great, thanks for the interest. They are doing well, but we are struggling to get our first win. We have only three hold over players from last season. Most all the new players have never played previous. So, we are learning the game and having fun as a team. We have a practice game latter this afternoon with another team. I will let everyone know how that goes. For me, personally, it is my favorite time of the week. How could a Dad have it any better than coaching your own daughter. Yes, Mastercard, it is priceless.

I hope I have hit all the questions? Thanks for everyone's support in my running goals. Plus, your interest in the other areas of life that pop up from time to time on the blog. I have some great friends out there and family. You are all fun. Oh, and thanks, Meg Runs. I enjoy reading your blog as well and thanks for all your many kind comments on my postings. Sounds like you and BS are quite the dynamic duo. Buy a treat for Daisy for me. Speaking of dynamic duo's - great job Happy Trails at the Xterra Trail Half! Running Fat Guy - PR success and fun times at LB Marathon. You will do great! RBR, the mojo is there, use it when you feel up to it. Jerbear, fun ninja look. The streets of South Dakota will be safe with you running them! :)

Cheers!

Oh, so your WIFE is the strong one! Great pix.
No, BS and I are not a dynamic duo...just a couple of knuckle heads with an empty nest, trying to find things to keep us busy, have fun and stay healthy. We are blessed though and of course, we ALWAYS have Daisy!

Have only had objects thrown at us on the bike - never running because we're always off-road. Throwing objects at pedestrians or cyclists is now a jail-worthy offense in Colorado thanks to a new law! And you always have to love when people yell "Run, Forest, Run!" At least we can run, right?!?!

Keep at it - enjoy the posts!

Meg Runs - yes, with regards to my wife. I felt marrying well above myself in every since of the meaning of that phrase - was the best thing for someone like me. :)

Happy Trails - Great, good to know. Wait a minute is this another attempt to get me off the roads and on the trails? Or, getting us moving to Colorado over my beloved Seattle, or my wife's Orange County? Hmmmm...? Colorado?

Hahah thanks for the shout out! :) And omg, who would throw a water balloon filled with pee?!?!!? better yet, how does one pee into a water balloon? there is way too much prep involved on that one, I'm afraid. ;)

Jerbear - sadly someone emailed me last night telling me they have had eggs, rocks, empty plastic bottles and a liquid filled balloon. He said liquid filled because he was not sure if it was water or pee. It hit him in the back, and it had a pee pee odor.

I doubt this ever happens in S Dakota. Especially, with ninja's protecting us. :)

Thanks for the well wishes Slomohusky! And I'm glad you talked about the pictures. Atfirst I thought it was the Stratosphere, but the nI noticed there weren't any leaves on the trees. Was actually processing all that info trying to make sense out of it...

Savor those youth coaching momets. Soon they will be in High School where it gets serious. Or at least the coaches think so.
