Calves, Calves, Calves........

..... It is all about my calves these last few days. They hurt. Hard to walk after sitting for awhile as well. They have been bugging for a few weeks now. This last week may have been the final bug to get me to rest them. Ran a five miler Friday night. The next day did my impersonation of a soccer coach. For my girls age group I am coach, ref, and cheerleader all on the field running up and down with 5-6 year olds. By the second I felt a pop and then pain.

I guess rest rest rest. I hate this. However, considering I am tub of goo, running 20 miles a week and running up and down soccer fields twice a week - I think my legs deserve a break from some of this. At least my calves. So, no running this week, and I think I will go into next week as well. If they respond well after the rest, then maybe I can still do the OC Half the first of May?

They are both really tight. I am mean super tight and painful in the upper calves. I will rest them a few days, then work on some stretches during my usual running time. So, lets see my last run was this past Friday, I will go till a week from this Wednesday. See how they feel after that?
