Ran a 4 miler this past Friday night. It was fairly easy and felt good except for the overly long waits to cross interestions. Vegas, at least our end of the Valley has rather ginormous intersections. I think even the best Frogger player would have problems. Anyway, I think I waited at least 5 minutes at each one.
This is all rather unimportant at this point however. For the last few weeks I have been having some noticeable heart beat issues. It will cause enough of an issue that I feel some tightness in my chest. I have been waking up in the AM early due to them, and almost like clockwork they start up again near 6 PM and progress to the point I have this feeling I am about plunge down from the highest point on the old wood rollercoaster on the Santa Cruz Boardwalk.
Anyway went to the ER for it last week finally. They gave me some asprin, took an EKG and tested my blood for certain enzyme markers for a Heart Attack. EKG did detect it. Asprin seemed to help for some reason. The blood test came negative - which is a good negative. Had a follow up treadmill stress test that went well according to the tech who took it. I have a follow up visit with my Doc tomorrow. It really has not been bothering me much at all, if even at all of late. Stress? Maybe? Not sure what is causing it? Will get some answers hopefully tomorrow.
Anyway this is where life is at. Have not run since Friday's 4 miler. Will see if I am able to ever to do it again?
