Did not get a whole lot of answers from my Doc visit. She just seemed upset the ER called and told her - "your emergency is not ours," according to my Doc. Not sure what that has to do with anything when it comes right down to it. Just worry about me and my little blood pumper please. Anyway, no answers and a prescription for heart burn medication. Obviously she is thinking that is the problem even though I have not had much in the way of heartburn issues. Oh well, I am just a lowly BA Degree kinda guy.
I am still running. Not as much but some. I did a 3 mile of mostly uphill this past Saturday and 3 miler previous to that. Plus, I have had some Precor buddy time for 3-4 milers. Will try to get in a 4 miler this evening. My heart beats fine through all of them and after. I still have some fluttering issues, but no where near what they were. In addition I have gone days in a row without them. I have some blood tests to go in for and follow up Doc visit sometime in the next few weeks. Tomorrow the Dentist.
As far as goals. I have not signed up for the OC Half. I am still shooting for it and have it as a goal to reach. I am just waiting to see obviously how the whole heart beat/Doc visits go before going too far into my training. Suppose it the safe thing to do? For now I will run pavement two times a week for 4 milers max. and precor two times a week. The Stress test taker said everything looked good and keep running. The Cardiologist looked it over as well. I feel secure enough to do at least what I have been doing.
Looking for more scenic runs to do these. My local neighborhood routes are not the most exciting. In the Seattle area, never a shortage of interesting routes to run. If I got tired of the same old pavement, trees, houses and Edmonds Beach front to look at. I could always change the pace by heading to Greenlake, Magnolia Bluff loop, or anywhere along Lake Washington. Also, I miss very much the Burke Gilman/Sammamish trail. Need some relief from rows upon rows of white stucco houses all looking the same no matter the development here in Vegas. Even the greater Topeka, KS area had more scenic runs just up and down my own street.
Okay, okay! I will stop wining. I run therefore I am nuts. This has never meant more to me than now.
