The Smooth is back ....

... then the yucks came back. Just when I was turning a good corner on my double digit long runs. My last run was a perfect 11 miles of heaven. Now two days later - cough, hack, sore throat and snots.

I love popcorn. Addicted is closer to the mark. Yet sharing a nice yummy big bowl with your own kiddos - means you are sharing it with all their germs and the ones picked up from school mates. Two colds in the last two months - yeah for me!

Advice - do any of you run while sick? If you do, how do you do it? What is your sick threshold? At one point do you say - "too sick for running." Growing up, unless, I had a 104 degree temp and was throwing something up - I played. Gotta support the team! Now? Meh? I would rather curl up in bed with a bowl of popcorn while watching Lost, Downton Abbey or The Black Adder. All while knocking down Diet Dr. Peppers and Nyquil. Num! Care to join me?

Big Congrats to a favorite and her Husband! You will have one lucky baby joining your family soon Tara!

Timely post as I just got over a mondo cold.

I run if I feel like it's just a mild one. Exercising makes me feel better if it's mild. Unfortunately you never know if it's going to *stay* mild. If it's a bad one? DVDs and naps all the way! Good luck! I feel your pain.

Exercise *usually* breaks it up for me. Non running time is fever/chills/stomach crud, rest is fair game if I feel up to it. For a standard cold, a good sweat usually kick starts the recovery period.
