Too bad he could not live without having slaves though. If he could? Who knows? Maybe yesterdays posting would not have been needed? Outside that ... smart guy. Are you a TJ fan? Or, John Adams fan?
Owning slaves, put into it's historical timeline, was minor on Jefferson's record, IMO. What is more interesting about both is that they launched modern dirty politics into the wide open. And more so, JA's son (JQA) was involved in the first election that should have exposed the sham that is the Electoral College, also IMO. But good food for thought.
I love most things historical as far as the presidents go so I'm with Kate and am intrigued with him. I think maybe it's all of our April birthdays! :)

I think Jefferson was a fascinating man. Flawed, but aren't we all. I loved visiting Monticello and would love to go back some day.
