...... Not Too Half

More pain. Not just in the ankle but on the back of the heel that is sharp with a burning feeling. All of  which started the AM after my last run. Frustration is I needed to cancel this AM's follow up Doc appointment for conflicting Realworld stuff. I wish Doc's made house calls again!! Cannot get in now until March 26th. I might head over to an Urgent Care clinic tonight after realworld and Soccer Practice.

Anyway, no race this weekend. Better safe than rupture as my wife put it last night. If I have not done that already. I am having more noticeable hobbling pain on it. Hard to walk, so I cannot imagine running 13 miles or even 1 mile. This is not the pain you run through or on. This is the injury pain that tells you take time off.

Have a great weekend!

What a drag! Sounds like Achilles tendonitis I am just getting over. Ice and ibuprofen and put a heel lift in your shoe. Walk around the house with it, no barefoot. Those are the things that helped me. Now it barely even feels stiff when I wake up in the morning.

Hi Slomo,

Trying to get caught up on all of my favorite blogs! I'm so sorry that you are still having ankle pain, but I think that you are being smart by taking some time of and not running the half. I need to take your lead, I've got so many aches and pains these days!

You've changed your blog and title from the last time I was here. I really like the title. How true...how true... :)

Hi Slomo,
That is a total bummer. I am sorry that your ankle is misbehaving. Take care of yourself.

I just read Tara's comment and had take a look...I did not notice the change in your blog title right away:) It looks great and it is also good advice...Ha ha!! Happy Thursday Slomo:)

Nice! Another husband who listens to the wisdom of his wife!

About the D-Tags - I know one of the problems is that if the tags get wet (like a race in the rain) they have a tendency to fall off. I saw that first had in Dana Point a couple years ago. So maybe the thought is if we have a solution that requires the runner to do less, less can go wrong.

Oh No!

Have you tried an Epsom Salt soak?

Does it hurt to gently stretch?
