Fanastic 7

No not a new Super Hero Team from Marvel, although I think Mr. Fantastic himself might need the help. No, really Fantastic 7 miler this early AM. Perfect temp at 4:30 AM - 66 degrees. Love that temp. My personal favorite to run. Had me singing the song Route 66 in my head the entire 7. Well, that is the Depeche Mode version of it.

I hit that really fun moment as well. For about 2.5 miles of the run - heaven. Call it runners high, transcendental feeling, runners rush, or take me back to my old not running days, but Cocoa-Cola Slurpee and Snicker Bar highs of 7th grade hitting the 7-11 on my home with the Dudes on skateboards. Or, .... yeah ... something like that? Anyway, fantastic 7 miler. Strong run. I will go back to my Ant Liberation Front - Aha Ant Music week long Adam Ant Tribute now. It was his Birthday this past Tuesday. Or, did I mention that already?

Have a great day! Cheers!

Tara - Welcome aboard. No, I am not a stalker. If I see a blog I like - follow. Anyone who spends time and bucks at REI is a new friend of mine.

Good luck at San Antonio next weekend!

Why is everyone so afraid of the word stalker?? Isn't Tara great? I follow her too. She is really funny! Speaking of which, ha, ha ha! Love the Slurpee and Snicker's Bar high!!! My drugs of choice were; diet-cokes and candy corns. Alas, those fun days are over.
Glad your run was FUN and have a nice weekend. Hope your Swine Flu boy is okay!! Who is Adam Ant?
Jk-I'm an 80's girl at heart.

GO CHARGERS!!! I forgot to post/tell you that I actually went to a game last Sunday with BS and it was the Raider/Charger game....hmmmmm, very interesting and not quite my scene. Rather "harsh."
BUT, we won so it was worth it.
Glad you like the beach pix!

re: injury. It's a pretty sharp pain on the bottom of my foot directly below my ankle bone. I really don't want to go to the doc b/c my health insurance is HORRIBLE and I know they'll take several x-rays to determine whether it is a fracture or not. I'll go if I think it really is that serious, but if it's fine after taking a couple of weeks off, I'll save myself some serious $$$.

Jerbear - take care of that. I hope the time off heals it up for ya. Stinks when you are so close to your Half Marathon.

400 miles on one shoe seems a lot though. I retire shoes every 300 miles. I also start alternating a new shoe at 225-50 miles into the older one. Depends on the shoe and your body though. 400 miles is a good mileage for your buck though. Enjoy the new ones. Nothing like the feel of new shoes and new socks! Stay warm back there.

Meg - Good luck to the Bolts! Sorry you did not like attending the game. I actually enjoy Pro Games at home and College and HS games live. Raiders always draw out the worst fans - sorry Raider Nation. Just not a fan.

We have adopted the Chargers as second family favortie too of course the Seachickens. However, my second oldest - favorite player - Eli Manning. So, we will be going both ways today. Watching the game as I type.
