Running Vacation Over

Well, it wasn't necessarily a spa and poolside lounging vacation. However, I will put in my first miles tomorrow since The Disney Half just one week ago. Did I mention I am doing this every year now? Well, at least next year. I just registered for it. It will be the 5th one, and they promise a pretty special medal for it. Just hope they are able to work in the Angel Stadium portion again!

Anyway, I have rested enough. More miles to go. I should even be able to sleep in some from the usual 3:30-4:AM wake up. It looks like it will be cool enough around a 5:30 AM wake up for a nice, easy, back into the running world routine 10k. My time off this week was longer than planned. I had my first Soccer game to coach for the new season, and some realworld stuff that was enough of an excuse to say - I think I deserve a full week off.

Soccer? Well my little girls team did not fare so well. At least the final score was a big goose egg for us and 10 for the opponent. I have a very young team this season, and the skill level shows it. However, they all had fun as I heard from most of the parents today. Again, that is what is most important. They played hard to the end and never gave up playing a bigger more experience group of kickers. Proud of them. Great kids with some really good parents as well.

Good running to everyone this week! Cheers! and Keep Kickin!

Oh - did you see that UW Husky score yesterday?! The monkey is off the back after losing every game last season. Woof! Go Dawgs!

We need to get you out on the trails ...
... more trail photos from Colorado might be necessary! Trail running is more mentally stimulating than road runs, in my opinion.

I actually just bought some Trail shoes last night online. New Balance. Don't rememeber which? There are some trails near Vegas I will be trying out as the temps cool this Fall. I will let ya know how it goes? Recommend anything else equipment wise?

Yes...you're moving to the trail side too! I actually go back and forth but the trails are so fun! Maybe you can get your wife to run and we can start a club!

That's great that you're planning on Disney again, what comes before that though? Any new goals?

Love the soccer update, we did that for a long time...it's so fun to watch the little ones grow and develop. That's neat that you're coaching!
