My UPS guy has become, well my UPS guy. He noted of late how many stops he has made for us. With this afternoon (really late one) drop off he shook my hand and introduced himself. 80% of all his trips to our front porch is for running related items as well.
This drop off was my long sleeve (yes, it does get cool enough for sleeves in Vegas; i.e. see pix to the right) Las Vegas Rock n' Roll Marathon training T. Very nice. Nice understated graphics but to the point, on a black long sleeve T.
I guess this is also a sign. I have been going back and forth about following thru on the Full I registered for or just do the Half. I need to finish what I started and do the Full, 26.2. Although, I really like the distance of the Half. Yet, I think I will feel incomplete if I don't at least try.
This also answers Meg Runs question in the comments. Some fun synchronicity of events. My next races are Big Sur Half (Nov. 15th) and Vegas RR (Dec. 6th). Yes, I will start mixing in some trial running as well. I am compiling a list of trails in the Vegas and St. George, Utah area to try. Trail Running shoes will be the next UPS delivery along with some running shoes for my wife. Don't get too excited about the latter. My wife uses them for work, running around a Hospital, not pavement or dirt. However, I keep trying. Every few weeks or so, my wife will find a strategically placed Couch to 5K program around the house or in her car. Hmmm? I wonder who leaves those just laying around like that?
Oh, this AM first run since Disney was great. Fun, refreshing feeling running with rested legs. Back at it tomorrow.
Cheers!

Hmm. I think that the mogration to trail running is just kind of a natural progression for m. I can definitely see it in my fufutre. First though is focusing on Long Beach....
Thanks for answering my questions...just want to keep you committed to your fitness(ha,ha...I'm also just a curious sort of person)!
When is the half/full that you are thinking about doing? Is it the Rock and Roll Vegas?
Have fun running tomorrow!
Shoes and running gear are a "good" vice, right ... ? When you start out on trails, just have fun and smile a lot :-) (and don't take the stop watch too seriously - it's a different pace than road runs.)
