Beat Up Feeling

Four times last week. All Precor Buddy runs. The mileage was 14.5-15 miles. Down some. Here is the problem though. My legs feel like Mike Tyson has been using them as punching bags. No sharp pains or dull tendon pains. They just feel tired and worn. One of the workouts last week was an on and off steep hill run. Meaning for 9 minutes a really hard uphill slog than alternate flatter 6 minute run simulation. Ever since that workout, but going into it as well, legs have felt tired in the knees and quads. Ankles have been holding up, but sore in the front, ball area of my right foot. Anyway, it came to a head this past Saturday - only 2.22 miles into a workout and felt I needed to quit. Well, I also had some wardrobe issues as well. Shorts kept rubbing on the inner thighs too much - ouch! Not a comfy feeling.

Today, I made it for the first run of the week. Tried to hold back, which I did to a degree. However, the personal never give up feeling kicked in. I had to get above 400 calories. Then I noticed I was close to the 4.5 miles point I needed to hit that. Then calorie count was at 475, so just a little bit more and I have 500! Oh the frenzy of it all. I stopped at 47 minutes, 500 calories. Not sure what the mileage was at that point it was a little over 4.5-7.

So, I guess even though my legs feel like ca ca tired - I can punish them even more. Here is the big rub and down home hit - or hurt. I need to lose weight. The runs alone are not doing it. Need to diet - whoah! Game plan on that one will be gone over this week. I will get back to ya on the goals and the means to reach them. In the end though - I know my legs and body will be happy for it all. My Psyche? Get back to ya on that?

Be seein' ya.
