New Kicks (Lets Hope I Can Use Them)

Crossing my fingers I can run in them soon. Yep, Brooks. Brooks Glycerine 8's. Yes, I still love my Asics Nimbus 12's. Yet, a gift certificate to me from my Soccer team families (I guess they like me coaching their daughters) :) said Brooks. Actually, it said Dicks Sporting Goods. I was going to go for another pair of Nimbus 12's, yet these nice looking Brooks were on sale - 15% off online. Plus, the Gift Certificate made the purchase practically FREE.

A year ago when I looked to replace my trusted New Balance 1062's. I tested 4 Shoes - Adidas Air Ride 2's, Saucony Triumph Pro Grid (something or others, there names are way too long), The Brooks Glycerine 8's and my beloved Asics Nimbus 12's. The latter was hands down love at first fitting. To this day, my favorite shoes since my old Nike Internationalists. Yet, the Brooks were not too far off from the Nimbus 12's. Plus, I really like the black with the neon green Brooks logo. So, practically FREE says - why not?

Tomorrow my doc visit will hopefully say if I can use them anytime soon?

Update. Walked the Husky tonight. Pain still there at times. Dull pain mostly, with a few shots of "you betcha I must of stepped wrong". Hobbling is minimal. Limping some. Walking without either? Getting there. No more splint obviously. Yet, I have been using a night, bedtime splint used primarily for PF on the foot while sleeping. It doesn't hurt, and I like the constant flexed feeling at night. It seems to relieve the pain at night and makes those first steps in the AM bearable.

Know more tomorrow - maybe. Actually, I think it will just be "hmmm .... lets send you to an Ortho Surgeon to find out exactly."

Thanks for the concern!

Congrats Boston Runners!

Greta will be missed!

Thanks Soccer Family!!!

Cheers!
