....... and Vegas is still here. :)
At least the very moist Vegas in the 5 mile radius around my house. 5 miler in the rain this AM. Folks this is one of the driest spots in all of North America. 4 inches. Four inches average rainfall a year - if we are lucky. In four days now we have gotten that and tad more I think.
I love Seattle. My hometown. Miss it. Culturally and Socially speaking - fits like a glove to me. Weather - pssst .... here is a secret - I HATE day after day of rain. I am a Vitamin D producing solar lover. I even dated a women named for it for a whole solar year. Sunshine makes me happy. I do enjoy the occasional grey, cloudy day of drizzle. Yet, day after day after day after .... my face falls off.
Anyway, hope someone out there had clear skies for a Lunar eclipse. I asked people who are more into signs of the times than I. Mind you these are just people I know. I would not call good friends. Still the people I know had to inform me this was not the BIG ONE. The sign ushering all that is apocalyptic. Unless we have an earthquake which not only moves the islands of the seas, but also brings the mountains down around me just prior. YIKES! I don't think I missed that happening?
I'm okay.
My unpost-apocalyptic lunar solstice eclipse run did change one thing. I need to think about New Years Resolutions. For some reason feeling I need to put some meat or meaning into them this year. Not that I have not in the past, yet, feeling the need to pick a Big Three (non running) and make them happen no matter - just to see what happens.
Issue?
I have no idea what? or Which ones they should be? Okay, well I do know one.
How about you out there? anything? I mean non running ones. Runners are always full of their own goals each year as far as running goes. Yet, non running ones? Any?
Cheers!
PS and BTW - according to the Google Blogger Stats - for some reason at Midnight last night there were 76 views at the same time on this Blog. Why? Who? How? Sign of the Times?

We actually managed to see the eclipse here in Sea. Through the haze to be sure but it was there. Pics up at my blog.
And today? The day after? It is wonderfully sunny and going up to 48-50F. People are in shorts and I'll be joining the early winter Vit D fest too.
Oh, I love running in the rain! Since I lived in HI and got a PR running in torrential rain, I am hooked, I welcome the rain! I have come along way from when I first started running. I would never even attempt to go out if it even looked as if it were going to rain. ha.
Merry Christmas Brad.
76 views at one time..Wow! (:
I got up to watch the eclipse, but I couldn't even figure out where the moon was. Completely overcast. Oh, well.
Resolutions? Haven't put much thought into that, yet. Getting our finances in better order is going to have to be up there. Organizing the house better. Learn to make t-shirt quilts so that I can maybe have some additional income to supplement my growing race habit. My athletic goals aren't so much PR focused as just "try this" "do that".
No rain, no snow, but I was sleeping - sorry! Chew on this for a few days - try a revolution instead of a resolution. A resolution (or multiples thereof) is usually a wish list of sorts. A revolution is an intense effort toward a goal that needs a finish. Word play, I know, but it will make you think I hope. Here is to longer days!!
I stayed up until 12:15, looked at the eclipse for about 2 minutes, then went to bed. Maybe I'll remember it down many years, like I remember seeing Hail Bopp many years ago, but twas a fun little few minutes regardless.
Hoping you make it out to Colorado for a race - Georgetown 1/2, perhaps! Would be so much fun to see you!
Happy Holidays, Slomo. Has been a pleasure to know you!!
