Run Bitch Run, on her recent blog posting, shared one of her typical entertaining race reports. RBR, great job on your PR's! Amazing considering you did this a week after running the San Fran Marathon. Keep kickin!
However, I think a lot of attention has been given to her hilarious report on the Porta Johns (if you live in Seattle, Honeybuckets). Yes, RBR they are gross. Most are dirty because men while running or biking (I think even more so biking) as hard as they can - well - fire before the aim is true so to speak. For all men, I apologize. However, I think it is safe to say porta pots are gross no matter. While participating in popular road races - most have few options. Although if you run the Vegas Marathon - I heard the McDonalds near the Circus Circus on the Strip is an option - and quicker. Not sure how clean it is? Anyway, my call out to a male runners during a race. Aim before you release, and if you do miss wipe the seat (that's if someone hasn't stolen the TP).
Ever seen the Monty Python sketch on Marathons for Runners With Really Small Bladders?
Keep runnin'.

Good insight about the Mickey D's during the Vegas Marathon. Last year I decided to go into the Casino which wasted way too much time (because apparently Casino's will let you in, but will not let you out!)
If you ever run a marathon on the East Coast, feel free to look me up...I might be able to give you some potty pointers.
Perhaps I shall see you in Vegas,
Tammy
Hoo! Hilarious! Thanks for the shout out and the PSA on port-a-john etiquette!
You will have to show me the appropriate place s to pee when I come up for Vegas!! Woo hoo!
RT - Thanks for stopping by. I have been on the Eastcoast twice when family lived in Camp Hill, PA. Very green. Gettysburg, Valley Forge, DC and Philly were fun to visit. Also, really liked Alexandra, VA a lot. I have heard good things about the Richmond Marathon and I have some friends moving to UVA in a few weeks. So, you never know? I just might be out there some day with my family again. Showing the kids all that is the Smithsonian is worth it in itself. Thanks again, have fun with your training and running Vegas in December. I will be a back of the back packers for Vegas. Just trying to finsih my first full Marathon in 13 years of not taking good care of myself.
RBR - Fun blog! Have a great upcoming school year teaching and training for Vineman. Just say no to any more training trips to Sacramento though. Isn't Davis the Cycling Capital of the World though? I would go there. College students (Davis) or homeless Meth users (Sac.)? Tough one? Oops - maybe you went to UC Davis? I have heard good things about their Law School. Have fun and keep up that great smile!
